About Us
Over thirty years ago in 1987, the United Nations Brundtland Commission defined sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." We at Skidmore endeavor to enact environmentally responsible practices, grounded in economic and social equity, and through our actions to have a positive impact on our community and our planet.
Meet Our Team
JENNIFER NATYZAKAssistant Director of Sustainability Programs Jennifer Natyzak (she/her) graduated with a B.S. in environmental science and minor in global sustainability from the University of Virginia in 2016. From her undergraduate research, she published two scholarly articles about UVA's institutional water footprint and virtual water consumption from fossil fuels. Since coming to Skidmore in June of 2016, Natyzak strives to cultivate a culture of sustainable living through a variety of student programs. She is particularly passionate about fostering community connections, through the annual move-out donation collection, "Give+Go", and for sustainable and equitable transportation projects. |
